With today’s requirements for staffed school libraries in Sweden, attention must also be given to the spaces where library activities take place. In collaboration with several furniture and interior design partners from southern and western Sweden, Hyllteknik will deliver a complete solution for school libraries. Based on three different room sizes, the number of products has been adapted.
Small – designed for 30 m² with 65.8 linear meters of shelving.
Medium – designed for 60 m² with 102 linear meters of shelving.
Large – designed for 120 m² with 238 linear meters of shelving.
We offer
4 styles of library shelving (Scandinavia in white high-pressure laminate with oak edge banding, or Littbus with three options for birch panels: light-pigmented, clear-lacquered, and dark-pigmented. Shelves are painted white).
Two color options are available for lighting and poufs (Beige-Red – RAL 3012 or Reed Green – RAL 6013).
Three sizes – Small, Medium, and Large. In total, 24 complete solutions are offered.

Library Shelving – Scandinavia or Littbus from Hyllteknik
Choose the shelving style you prefer:
-Scandinavia – Features a sleek surface in white high-pressure laminate with oak edge banding on the panels and sides, white-lacquered steel back edge strips on the shelves. Handles on book trays and mobile shelving units are made of stainless steel.
- Littbus – Features solid birch sides and top shelf with white-painted shelves. Choose from light-pigmented, clear-lacquered, or dark-pigmented birch.
Circulation/Return Desk from Sibab Interior AB
The desk is included in the Medium and Large setups, with two sizes depending on the chosen room size. It features a base of white high-pressure laminate, and the top surfaces and edge banding are customized to match the selected shelving style.
Tables from Sibab Interior AB
A round table is included in the Medium setup, and one round plus two rectangular tables are included in the Large setup. The tabletop finish is matched to the library shelving. These tables are ideal for reading areas or group activities in an educational setting.
Chairs from Wigells
The Medium setup includes 5 spindle-back chairs, and the Large setup includes 12 chairs. The finish is clear-lacquered birch or clear-lacquered oak, depending on the chosen library shelving style.
Poufs from Softab Inredning
A set of poufs is included for all room sizes, available in three different shapes. They provide additional seating and complement the library space. The fabric is available in either green or pink tones, which will be coordinated with the lighting fixtures.
Lighting Fixtures from BLOND Belysning
Provides pleasant illumination and is included in Medium and Large room setups, with 3 and 4 fixtures respectively. Available in two sizes: 800 mm and 300 mm. Finished in RAL 6013 Reed Green or RAL 3012 Beige-Red, coordinated with the same color scheme as the poufs.
